8 Good Examples Of What Happens When Geeks Have Children

February 12, 2008

It’s inevitable that as children of the 80’s (and of the video game era, and the computer era, etc.) grow up they will start having children. It’s also inevitable that many will use those children to express their personalities, often with pretty amusing results. Here are 8 good examples of geek child rearing:

1. Dungeons And Dragons Baby

2. Ipod Parody Baby

3. Cthulhu Baby

Hahaha :) The first one is the best! Though Mario Bros also look cute ;)

  2. Some Guy on February 13th, 2008 2:32 am

Old pics, but very cute! I love babies, they’re good eating!

(I kid! My son, when he was but a wee baby, loved getting “eaten,” i.e. tummy rubs and grubs!)

  3. Auto Parts for Brains on February 13th, 2008 2:40 am

hahaha. a new generation of geeks are born.

  4. Alstroph on February 13th, 2008 2:51 am

I love the Mario and Luigi kids :)

  5. Psycharina on February 13th, 2008 3:16 am

More likely that a new generation of children who will grow up needing severe and prolonged psychological treatment for the mental trauma they suffered in childhood are born …

  6. Scott on February 13th, 2008 3:20 am

    HaHa That is great

  7. Gary on February 13th, 2008 4:07 am

And the Lord spoketh: “Blessed be the Geeks, for they are the Light of the new dawn. Their productions be awesome, their inspiration equals mine, their spirit riseth up from the throngs of humanity”.

LOL at “Dungeons And Dragons Baby”
Level 1 Human ……………… man that made my day :-)

  9. Gerhard on February 13th, 2008 5:49 am

LOL the Mario and Luigi kids kicks serious butt

  10. William on February 13th, 2008 6:04 am

    OMG! LOL! ROFLMAO!

  11. Ford radiators on February 13th, 2008 7:48 am

LOL, I like the look on the kid Luigi’s face he’s like “when are we getting out of here”

  12. Lost in Minnesota on February 13th, 2008 8:05 am

Sad that I know the Ipod baby and the parents are HUGE geeks.

  13. Craig on February 13th, 2008 8:36 am

The Level 1 Human onesie is great, but “iPood” made me lol.

  14. JS1405 on February 13th, 2008 9:24 am

The look on #2’s face is perfect for his shirt. Plus, he is also number 2. You have to think that was on purpose.

  15. John on February 13th, 2008 9:55 am

This is exactly why my kids are going to be in trouble one day. No n00blet onesy though, kinda disappointing

  16. Meh on February 13th, 2008 10:19 am

I don’t think you can own an iPod and call yourself a geek. iPods are among the most trendy gadgets out there right now.

Even dressing your kid up like an iPod doesn’t qualify you as a geek since people who love Apple (or Ubuntu or the Wii) that much are simply fanbois and super lame.

Where do I get these? I like the iPod Baby and the D7D baby shirts!

  19. Wil on February 13th, 2008 11:11 am

I find it amusing that the Cthulhu Baby has a t-shirt that says “Satan” on it underneath…

  20. patrick on February 13th, 2008 11:14 am

there is a better copy of that first tee at thinkgeek.com

I’m pretty sure my wife would not let me put our daughter in a Cthulhu outfit. It would take a special geek-geek marriage to let that happen. Maybe I chose my mate poorly.

  22. geek mama on February 13th, 2008 11:50 am

    My Leia baby is cuter!!!

  23. Manny on February 13th, 2008 11:54 am

Here is a better example for 8. My Daughter on Halloween 2006.

  25. LEILA on February 13th, 2008 12:15 pm

Every are so beautifull, but……I-POD PARODY BABY AJAJAJAJAJJAJAJAJA…IT’S THE BEST

  26. Adam on February 13th, 2008 12:25 pm

The D&D stats baby is hilarious, but a lot of the other kids are just dressed in Halloween costumes. The ninja and Princess Leia pictures even look like they were taken out of catalogues. It’s not just geeks who dress their kids up on Halloween.

  27. lolly on February 13th, 2008 12:45 pm

a more realistic picture would have them dressed in a burlap bag with shackles on their arms and legs with a rfid chip in their necks

These are adorable! I know a couple that’s really into D&D and cthulu and it’s rubbing off on their kids. The iPood onesie killed me with cute lol.

  30. Tommy on February 13th, 2008 2:40 pm

Years ago, I remember seeing a baby in a onesie with the text:

    “I
    TCP
    but mostly
    IP”

  31. Solusan on February 13th, 2008 2:51 pm

    Que cositas :”’)

  32. Dungeon Master on February 13th, 2008 7:30 pm

That’s pretty good armor for a baby.

  33. almk on February 13th, 2008 7:39 pm

A baby would totally have an AC higher than 6. I mean, base of 10, plus at least 2 for size. Babies are tiny, right? Then -4 for the Dex modifier. That’s 8!

If my husband knew I was even calculating this he’d be so proud. And, for the record, I wanted to make HIM a Cthulhu hoodie, but he wouldn’t wear it. Maybe we need kids so we can inflict our geekiness on them!

The first one is definitely the best.

  47. the walrus on February 28th, 2008 12:35 pm

The Ipod (#7) Outfit is the best. Baby itself is an Ipod, and one can even tickle his belly by “scrolling” the pad. Awesome!
Now if the baby starts singing, that would be something!

  48. the walrus on February 28th, 2008 12:37 pm

Manny, you got yourself a C3PO in actual size! how cool is that? :)

  54. Maddie on April 19th, 2008 4:42 pm

    dayumm those areee cute
but a lot of them are just costumes
the Mario and Luigi is the cutestttt <333
    love um

    =) =D :) :D

  55. Ignatz Horowitz on October 5th, 2008 10:34 am

If you think iPod is trendy, then you’re geek.

Poor kids…at least these fools (hopefully) didn’t dress their pets up like that.

  56. Zer0 on October 9th, 2008 10:54 am

I like the Cthulhu Baby, where the well can i get one those?… (the custom no the baby).

  57. ketas on November 16th, 2008 11:27 pm

    7. is actually very good idea. When you’re moving your finger on dial, you’re tickling the baby :)

  58. Pandapie on January 10th, 2009 12:17 pm

The mario brothers are adorable!! although I think mario might be a little girl in the picture ^^
