So why were Batman and Robin in their costumes so quickly? Guess they were spending the day dressed up in their outfits when suddenly they had work to do.
OMG would you feminazis shut up already. Here is a hint. loose the sweatpants hoodies and flipflops and start looking like HER and we will respect you again. Were sorry about the sexist comments but my god can you start looking like women again?
Batman knows better. Taking a woman along only complicates things. As if women have to be involved in every little project. Sometimes, what’s happening at the moment, simply doesn’t involve you. Get over it.
If you thought that was funny, check out a resource we used in sequential art studies in college. Its full of them and worse from 40’s-70’s comics. Its prolly where the image was taken from.
I am not only shocked at this cartoon that was created over forty years ago, but also what some of you chauvanist (sp?) pigs have posted! This is the 21st century, and I thought we had moved past basic sexism. Not only does this cartoon depict the sad fantasies of some sad man, who probably couldn’t get a girl if he tried, sitting at home with his doodling board, but it also depicts the utter patheticness of American culture that something as horrible and as discriminant can be made and accepted. I am appalled at the lack of mental maturity displayed here. Women were not created to wear tight dresses and make sandwitches for silly men, women are humans and citizens just like men.
greetings from scandinavia. Your comments are way more sexist than Batman’s.
Women are indeed humans and citizens, but it seems your female brain lacks the power to see the whole picture.
There never will be a equality as you imagine it should be. Last time I checked (just couple minutes ago), men and women do have differencies in them (physical differences and in brain functions also) and these differencies are the simple reason why things like chauvinism exist.
It might be easier for you to categorize chauvinism as stupid, juvenile or somehow evil, and yes it might have such qualities (quite often actually), but it will not fade away as its “burning material” is based on facts.
Please, think more broadly before you write.
I applaud Batman. I think many others will also, but in secret.
i need to repeat my comment that i made to Katherine, there is no need for you women to try to be number one in the “who can make the most sexist comments”-game. But if such game would be needed, you would easily be the very top/bottom of that list (you can decide which perspective you take) with such comments.
What is the purpose of trying to use a site such as this for a forum to express messages of feminism?
Clearly the target audience is not one typically inclined to listen to such rhetoric; and moreover, it is a comic strip, meant to be an amusing and FUNNY commentary on society. Get over it and understand that while your comments do have merit and may be articulate, you inspire none of the change you so long for wasting your time here.
I begin by informing you all that I am, indeed, a female. A female very, very disgusted with the sexism I see every single day; sexism that pervades the media and the home alike. Unfortunately for you feminists, I’m talking about the female chauvinism that has rampantly taken over this country. I applaud the first feminists for their spunk and courage, for without them I wouldn’t have the (debatable) privilege of voting. Going to college, as I am doing now, would have been out of the question.
But don’t you think enough’s enough? It stopped being about equality and about control when women demanded to go to work while the men stayed home. It stopped being about equality and about humiliation when the most popular television series starred a beautiful, bright woman who graciously put up with her idiot of a husband every day.
As many of you may know, women are not men and men are not women, so to compare the two would be useless. As a psychology major, I have a little insight (as much insight as can be obtained) on the matter. Yes, there are cultural scripts that we play out, and yes, it is fine when someone goes outside the box and does something different. It’s when that someone points the finger at everyone else and proclaims that he or she is “right” and they are “wrong.”
Also, a woman doesn’t always have to go. Neither does a man. God knows we women have enough secrets as it is, why must we get so offended when a man wants to do something for himself? It’s called respect. And yes, women should respect men just as much as they expect to be respected.
Lastly, it’s a comic strip. Whether it was meant to be funny or not when it was made, it’s sure as hell funny now. All you feminists get over yourselves for a change and actually practice what you preach. Who knows, you might not even have to force anyone to respect you; it might just come naturally.

It seems your brain lacks a lot more including powers of deduction … and that’s why you don’t have a girlfriend.
Sorry, your blowup doll or your right hand doesn’t count.
And don’t start a post with dear .. when you’re just going to insult the addressed person you pathetic shallow sad excuse for a male.
Batman is the best super hero ever, except when he’s being sexist.
