This is in reference to a comment made by state representative James Fagan last month concerning the legislation “Jessica’s Law”, which drastically increases the penalties imposed upon repeat sexual offenders with respect to children.
His point, in saying such ridiculous things, is that when defending such an offender, the child is likely to be far more harshly treated by the defense attorney during questioning in court, and that they will likely end up scarred for life worse than is necessary because of the new law.
As a lawyer himself, Fagan made the point using himself as an example. Not too bright, considering most people would prefer to see sex offenders drawn and quartered, especially those who prey on children.

Shocking. I can’t think of anything else to say but shocking.
Quote from the article: “These are very serious crimes that nobody wants to take serious. What about the rights of these children?”
I think I saw this in a movie once. It was called Attack of the Killer tomatoes. Let’s just say that it’s all George Clooney’s fault and leave it at that.
Too bad I can’t get that headline on a t-shirt.
