I’ve seen these folks on my way to work in Austin. I think there may be some dementia involved here. Seriously. It’s an older man who appears to be in his late 60s early 70s. Sad.

  2. HemlockEcho on October 3rd, 2008 11:13 am

Nah, these aren’t typical McCain supporters. These folks have shirts on and live in a non-movable house, putting them in the upper echelon of McCainiacs.

But obviously they are spelling mavericks.

  3. Zach on October 3rd, 2008 12:04 pm

No they don’t. How does this do anyone any good?

  4. dkaz on October 3rd, 2008 12:20 pm

virtually guaranteed to be racist as well

  5. Levi on October 3rd, 2008 12:29 pm

    Obama - he’s the social-est!

(coffee shop) Social. (Facebook) Social-ER. (Obama) Social-EST!

  6. Aaron Stewart on October 3rd, 2008 12:35 pm

This is such an unfair portrayal by the left wing liberal media!

  7. Shane on October 3rd, 2008 12:57 pm

    Is Socalist spelled wrong?

  8. Will Hall on October 3rd, 2008 12:58 pm

I live in canada and I think im moving to Austriala if McCain gets elected

  9. Jet on October 3rd, 2008 1:40 pm

Message ot Aaron Stewart: The black guy who graduated first in his class at the Harvard Law School, the guy who can spell– he’s going to be your president.

  10. Indy Jane on October 3rd, 2008 2:02 pm

hmm, so if I post a pic of a bunch of toothless, braless, overweight, kids running amuck, cars on blocks, black folk in the ghetto and title it “Typical Obama Supporters”, how long before the MSM and the leftosphere attack me as a racist conservative? Just askin? Too bad we’re all not on an even playing field with the same rules.

Generally, I enjoy your contributions to the blogosphere.

  11. Bobby Joe on October 3rd, 2008 2:26 pm

Were you people bullied in high school? I would guess so. Why else would you think it’s okay to be a prick towards people only because they have a differing political opinion?

Following that logic, you deserved getting your ass kicked because you weren’t on the football team.

  12. Dawn on October 3rd, 2008 2:31 pm

If it were only McCain who got elected..I could probably deal with that, though I wouldn’t want to. With Palin in there? Moving to Australia sounds like a good idea to me.

  13. The Toecutter on October 3rd, 2008 2:33 pm

@ Will Hall: You’re in Canada and thinking of moving to Australia? Damn, you’re one step ahead of me. I’m in the US and if McCain were elected I was thinking about moving to Canada. Guess I’ll have to rethink my strategy…hmmmm…Australia does sound nice…

  14. The Toecutter on October 3rd, 2008 2:39 pm

Oh yeah, I forgot; I’m more of a “Goose” than a “Maverick” anyway. But I’m working my way up to “Iceman”.

  15. Ryan on October 3rd, 2008 2:48 pm

“I live in canada and I think im moving to Austriala if McCain gets elected”

Is Austriala anywhere near Australia? Or perhaps Austria?

  16. X-Destruction on October 3rd, 2008 2:49 pm

This is to Aaron. How is this unfair portrayal by the left wing liberal media? Did the media come in and decorate this guy’s lawn with their poorly spelled cardboard signs? Now the title may be a little bias, but 2008 McCain is scary… and so is this guy’s lawn.

  17. Jason Hollands on October 3rd, 2008 3:02 pm

Will Hall, no such country exists.

  18. Kim on October 3rd, 2008 3:11 pm

I’m soooo tired of all of this. I have yet to be convinced that either party has cornered the market on idiots and then someone goes and puts a childish piece like this up. Now I know I’ve been touched by the party of tolerance.

    Terrific!

Oh, and please do move away if the election doesn’t go your way…part of life in a democracy is accepting the will of the majority, even if you don’t understand. I hear the healthcare is rockin in France. LOL LOL LOL

  19. Frank Wank on October 3rd, 2008 3:22 pm

The prairie style window are lovely.

  20. Ryan on October 3rd, 2008 3:43 pm

    SoCal-ist

  21. Suzette D'Mingas on October 3rd, 2008 3:50 pm

I just want to go on record by saying the demoralizing support that Oprah receives is astounding. Why couldn’t America push forth the effort to try to get her in office. She has the skills and qualifications people, I mean after all she is Jesus…right??? And to think that if she was elected we’d all get Pontiac Parisienne’s. I’m just really vaclemsed so much so that my bowels are in a tizzy!

  22. Doug on October 3rd, 2008 3:57 pm

Shouldn’t people who hang the confederate flag get a beat down? Or do people actually stand for that in America?

  23. kim'samoron on October 3rd, 2008 4:01 pm

Yeah, I’d be wiling to accept the majority if we lived in a democracy. Or if the elections weren’t fraudulent. Or if that majority wasn’t anti-intellectual and voting with their bibles. Shit, I’d be ok with all of you driving the country into the ground if you weren’t taking me with you. Actually, you’re right, France does have a better healthcare system. And if McCain is elected, watch the intelligent populace abandon you retards for other countries, leaving you wallowing in your own mess. I think it’s funny when your ignorance shows too!! LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL f*cking morons

  24. undagrndbeatz on October 3rd, 2008 4:20 pm

You have to be braindead to support McCain/Palin. I bet the whole family helped with the signs. Aaron says this is unfair, it’s the media. This is everywhere you go, dumbass people supporting a jackass because he talks about guns, has the same iq as them, white, lies every chance he gets. McCain’s strategy is to dumb it down for the average folk. McCain could piss on the american flag and these idiots would still vote for him, that is if they can fill out the registration correctly. I’m not sure if I’m worried considering the spelling on the signs, I wish I was a “MAVRIK”

  25. Bobby on October 3rd, 2008 4:26 pm

Indy Jane: those are McCain supporters. You haven’t seem the video?

  26. Sparkus on October 3rd, 2008 4:46 pm

Yes, socialist is spelled wrong. So is maverick. They DID spell Obama right so…

  27. Anonymous on October 3rd, 2008 5:06 pm

You guys are such elitists. Spelling and grammar is for elitist arseholes with fancy university degrees.

  28. Aaron Stewart on October 3rd, 2008 5:08 pm

    @Jet

You don’t get sarcasm do you?

  29. Maximus Gringo on October 3rd, 2008 5:20 pm

We all know these people are Obama supporters. Only liberals could be that stupid! Liberals are always faking something because they are such hollow losers!

  30. Maximus Gringo on October 3rd, 2008 5:22 pm

Almost forgot if you live in Canada you might as well move to Cuba you socialist wet nurses!

  31. PhiLLy in DaLLaS on October 3rd, 2008 5:53 pm

If Mccain STEALS this election, I’m giving up on this country and will move elsewhere. Obama is CLEARLY the better candidate and if this nation hands the keys to the nation over to a hot-headed 72 year old and a SUPER-conservative hockey mom…we’re all in trouble.

  32. Rachel on October 3rd, 2008 7:05 pm

    McCain/Palin 08…..really?

When will people realize that putting a war hungry, old man stuck in the 60’s is a dangerous prospect?

F@#* this you can all kill eachother, and whatever society you think is soooo different from yours, I’m moving to Switzerland

  33. BudoKin on October 3rd, 2008 7:24 pm

    Ignorance is bliss!

  34. Dan Seitz on October 3rd, 2008 8:41 pm

Foe you mildly amusing east coast libs and you just plain sad Cali libs these folks are surely Dems. Harking back to the Roosevelt admin and the new deal. As for the radical from canada ” not capitalized for a reason” go get in line for your flu shot or do what the rest of your old folks do and come south for proper health care.

  35. Scotty on October 3rd, 2008 9:16 pm

Hey, I have an IQ of 146, I love my guns, I didn’t go to college, and I’m voting for Obama.

  36. Goo Goo Cluster on October 3rd, 2008 9:46 pm

Hey Maximus Gringo–So if McCain is losing to a bunch of losing losers does make him a winner? Of course it does. To you. Loser.

  37. David on October 3rd, 2008 10:18 pm

Yeah, these weirdos live on Duval…I drive by them everyday.

  38. Peek on October 3rd, 2008 10:33 pm

    @kim’samoron:
The intelligent American people already have been leaving in droves for years because of Bush. I work in a high tech firm in Canada and there are already a huge amount of US citizens that have chosen to live here. The uneducated don’t leave since they aren’t qualified enough for work visas, so the US average gets dumber and dumber. And you’re not likely to import smart people with your economy in the toilet.

  39. choirboy on October 3rd, 2008 11:12 pm

I love it! Neatly kept house and yard, confederate flag, and probably nascar fans! These are the folks that will put McCain over the top! You lefties sure are getting nervous! bwahahahahahah!

  40. Rick Cain on October 4th, 2008 1:56 am

    Obama is also a Muslin!

  41. D on October 4th, 2008 1:45 pm

This picture is exactly the reason that I support intelligent cleansing. It’s just like ethnic cleansing except instead of killing people based on a silly thing like race, we weed out the intellectually unfit from our society and ship them off to somewhere they’ll need brains to survive, like Africa.

  42. fistofpeanuts on October 5th, 2008 5:22 am

    Mac Kane

  43. Dave on October 7th, 2008 6:24 pm

Its very self defeating for Democrats to make fun of conservatives who might be not be the most educated. Do you think you’ll ever win over folks in Texas by making fun of them? Nice work. All you’re doing is making that much harder to bring about change.

On the other hand, that flag is something else. I take back my first paragraph….

  44. mike on October 8th, 2008 7:22 pm

what i don’t get is why people who fly the Confederate flag are considered anything close to “real Americans.” or (simialrly) why the palins can be considered “real Americans,” given the fact that Todd joined a secessionist party and Sarah appears to be actively sympathetic to them, even if she wasn’t a formal member.

Confederates and secessionists aren’t “real Americans.”

  45. androidny on October 9th, 2008 2:38 pm

Not so obvious is not these voters, but the voters who are highly educated, articulate and can spell $10 words like socialism and are cringing as they plan to vote in the coming election given the bat s**t crazy candidates they have been given. Do they vote for corporatism led by an aging once-upon-a-time maverick with an empty-dress VPILF anachronism who is a melanoma relapse away from running our country further up to the axles than Bush ever did? It really doesn’t matter as we humans are out-stripping our natural resources as we make more copies of ourselves careening toward the abyss. The big die-off approaches and no amount of invisible hand waving of the free market or New Deal is going to save our asses. Smoke’em if ‘ya got’em.

  46. james harrison on October 10th, 2008 3:58 pm

To the person that said “Obama is also a Muslin.”
Muslin is a type of fabric, Muslim is an adherent
to the Islamic faith. He is not a Muslim. But if he
were - So the hell what? He is clearly more
    intelligent, articulate, passionate, and concerned
    than his opponent.

** sewage and acid runoff in America the backwater **

In our cultural backwater we’re so far from a post-supernaturalist worldview that my nausea sets in. I have to watch millions of fat-heads gorging on junk-food faith. Super size me, Jesus!

Only by “good fortune” will the US reject a rabid dominionist Sister Sarah as a stand-in for Old Salty, doddering pre-Alzheimer time bomb.

If the Bush regime’s managerial irrationality had not finally broken down in economic collapse, the US might have capitulated to ultra-right xian religio-ideology.

How easy it will be to create a Gulag Archipelago here.
