Finally,
Someone wrote a note to them that they can fully understand in their terms!
I wonder if the call guys in India didn’t fix it remotely, or if the uncertified technicians they hired couldn’t figure out how to ship it to the central repair location.
At least you got your computer back, with all of the RAM fully seated and not an excuse that your motherboard was shot and you should buy a new system.
Retail attempting to do good service is like peaceniks attempting to win a war. Always missing the mark.
Sell more product! Get them to buy more stuff!
Honestly, I really hate best buy. That’s why I shop at circuit city XD
hehe, I tlaked to a guy at best buy about an ext hard drive that wouldnt work on my laptop.
he said the geek squad could look at it ” for only like 40 bucks or so, ”
I asked him what about if the prob wasnt fixed. He started to try to tell me about how they still took the time to look at it and blah blah blah….I said “but what about when i bring my car into the shop?” If they work on something and dont fix it, I sure as hell dont pay them until the reason my car came in is corrected.”
he didnt really have an answer for that.
stop spreading lies about a company, I’ve worked at geek squad. We don’t make up false diagnostics or say your motherboard is bad to get you to buy a new computer. If you buy a new computer it doesn’t help out the department at all since we don’t get any credit for that. Plus we aren’t on commission so we don’t get a dime more if you pay more. To comment about taking a look at it for 40 dollars it must have been under something like a hardware install I.E. the tech was trying to save you money cause he was pretty sure he knew the issue. A full diagnostic is 70 and that is just to find the problem.
Poor kid.
