I think that is possibly the most wrong anyone has ever been in the Incorrect History of Wrongness. I mean, wow.

This was before the whole Fuhrer and take-over-the-world phase, he was put in jail because of the Beer Hall Putsch (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adolf_Hitler#Beer_Hall_Putsch), where he tried to take over the German government by force (which sent him to jail, and convinced him that he had to do it legally, which he did…scarily quickly).

  4. IceBeam on August 17th, 2008 8:00 am

    His rehabilitation is maximum.

  5. Watcher on August 19th, 2008 9:29 am

Adolf (correct spelling) has left the building after been seen with Elvis.

  6. mike on September 1st, 2008 4:16 am

    Why is this in English?

  7. Toxey on September 1st, 2008 2:54 pm

Perhaps, mike, because it was published in The New York Times newspaper. New York is a major metropolitan city in the state of New York. New York state is part of a larger conglomerate of states known as the United States of America (sometimes simply America). At the time this article was published, the majority of Americans spoke English as their primary language. It seems only reasonable to assume that The New York Times Company (a for-profit venture) would desire to reach the highest number of readers. Hence, the publication in English.

This was written in 1924, long before World War Two.

  9. Anon on September 3rd, 2008 8:31 pm

  10. ANON on September 3rd, 2008 10:54 pm

  11. David on September 4th, 2008 3:26 am

Come on! you’re not serious are you, damn, did you listen in grade two history or what? WWII started around about 1945 (we can’t be sure of an exact date) which is in the 1900’s which is after 1924. Note:Hitler fought in WWI.

  12. Ben on September 4th, 2008 7:12 pm

What’s wrong with you? WWII started in 1929 and ended in 1945!

  13. Anon on September 4th, 2008 8:09 pm

    jews don’t exist

  14. anon2 on September 4th, 2008 11:46 pm

Don’t say that. I’m a jew, and most definitely do exist. By the way, has anyone here heard of the Third Wave experiment?

  15. davidanon on September 5th, 2008 1:09 am

damn you anons.. stop trolling.. you’re making me sick. WW2 didnt start around 1945 it ended around 1945… it started in 1939.

  16. Barry on September 5th, 2008 1:36 am

Ha!The interwebs are funny!Morons are afoot plentiful as cats, mewling and puking up their effluvia of idiocy!

  17. JB on September 5th, 2008 7:33 pm

World War Two started in the latter part of 1939 after Germany invaded Poland, and subsequently the UK made a deceleration of war on Germany. Seriously, what the fuck?

  18. calhoun on September 8th, 2008 5:46 pm

I always find it amusing when one idiot doesnt realize another idiot is joking.

  19. jkillah1 on September 8th, 2008 9:28 pm

I don’t get it… what was wrong with the analysis? Did this Adolph guy do something important? Guess I’ll go google it…

  20. lilpunkin on September 9th, 2008 4:04 pm

Fake - They didn’t have that font back then.

  21. cowbag on September 12th, 2008 1:13 pm

    Whata a mistakea to makea.

World war 2 started in 1939, for us Brits that stood up for freedom, America didn’t actually bother until 1941 when it affected them personally.

  22. Dizzley on September 14th, 2008 5:07 pm

    EPIC FAIL

Failed fascist comes back and has another go. Just think - McCain might well win the US Election. “Eight More Years”. D’Oh!

  23. cowbag..... on September 15th, 2008 1:00 am

You brits stood up for freedom alright, no way it was about personal affliction. thats why you stopped him from taking over chezkoslovakia. and austria. and btw, germany is on your mutha fuckin doorstep. it effects you immediately because hes fucking right there

  24. Far on September 15th, 2008 7:33 pm

Hey hey now, don’t forget about us Canadians. We kicked so much ass in that war.

  25. Cam on September 22nd, 2008 12:43 pm

once again, you all fail, hitler would not have invaded Britain, he had huge respect for us, and if you didnt realise, Britain is surrounded by sea, with an outstanding tactical advantage.
As great of a leader he was, Hitler became obsessive, and disobayed warnings, so he got pwned

  26. anontroll on September 27th, 2008 8:13 pm

Hitler was a jew, most people dont know that.

  27. Anonandonandonandon on September 30th, 2008 4:45 pm

I am a Jew and i am offended by this particular article. Now if you don’t mind i will go play with my dradle or something

  28. ilovemyself on October 3rd, 2008 12:10 pm

This isn’t the worst analysis ever… They got the last part right, he did return to Austria.

  29. Quinn on October 15th, 2008 8:35 pm

guess what fuck brain, America is further away from Germany, and you did get attacked. remember the “Battle Of Britain” if you can even call it a battle.

  30. overtherainbow on November 4th, 2008 8:30 am

Hey! It didn’t start in 1939 for everyone. What about China, Korea, etc? Korea —> Colonized 1910 (though not really a war), Manchuria invaded 1932. 1932! So it started in Europe in 1939, but you have to remember this is a world war.

  31. Jason on November 6th, 2008 9:46 pm

    @Cam
“Britain is surrounded by sea, with an outstanding tactical advantage.”

Yeah, Britain does have a great tactical advantage in being surrounded by the sea…

You know like Japan…who, unfortunately, got pwned by the U.S.

  32. SAG on December 17th, 2008 4:20 am

This could have all been thwarted if we only took heed to the warnings put forth by Nostradamus.

  33. Karina on January 13th, 2009 6:35 pm

lilpunkin - they had that font in 1917. Did they discontinue it for 1924?
